Labrador and Newfoundland, Canada

Just off the coast of Canada's Newfoundland lies the Labrador Sea, which in this image is mostly covered by high clouds. This area of the world is still firmly in the grip of winter, and the snow and ice will not start to disappear for about another month. This MODIS true-color image was acquired March 13, 2002.
