For a second day, the Sea-viewing Wide Filed-of-View Sensor (SeaWiFS) captured an image of smoke filling the skies over southern Mexico and Central America. Smoke from fires, which are concentrated in northern Guatemala (on the Yucatan Peninsula, southeast of center), is stretching across to Cuba and the southern tip of Florida. This image was acquired on March 19, 2003.
