This true-color MODIS image of a large portion of Nevada (right) and California (left) shows a fire (red dot) burning on the western edge of Pyramid Lake, which is located just right of the image's center. To the southwest of Pyramid Lake, straddling the border of Nevada and California, is Lake Tahoe.
