The Bahamas

The Bahamas take centerstage in this MODIS true-color image that was acquired from data collected on October 5, 2001. The largest island of the country, which is in the center of the image, is Andros with Grand Bahama and Great Abaco lying north and northwest respectively. Also visible in the left side of the image is southeastern Florida, and the northern coast of Cuba, which is at the bottom-center.
