This pair of images shows Joseph Bonaparte Gulf in northwest Australia on January 25, 2002. In the true-color image, the rivers appear brown, and are filling the Gulf with sediment. The false color image has been enhanced to highlight the signal of water, and the flooded estuaries and wetlands along the coast are more apparent than in the true-color image.
