A number of fires (depicted by red dots) can be seen burning in this true-color MODIS image of eastern Namibia, northern Botswana, southwestern Zambia, and in the northern Republic of South Africa. The fire in the northern Republic of South Africa is in the middle left of the image, and the fires in Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia all appear in the top middle. This image was acquired March 17, 2002.
