A number of fires (red dots) can be seen in this true-color MODIS image acquired April 7, 2002. A number of the fires are burning in Zambia (upper right), but most are concentrated in Botswana's Okavango Delta (lower middle left). Smoke plumes from some of the fires can be seen in the higher resolutions of the image.
