Heavy smoke blankets Myanmar (center), Thailand (lower right), Laos (right), and western China (upper right) in this MODSI image from April 10, 2002. Numerous agricultural and wildfires (red dots) are responsible for the smoke, which is creating a severe health hazard in the area. Left of center, sun glints of the Gulf of Martaban.
