In the Sierra Madre Mountains of western and southern Mexico, scores of wildfires have continued to burn over the last month. These images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite were acquired on May 17 and May 22, 2002.
