Northern Scandinavia

This MODIS image from May 27, 2002, shows the Scandinavian countries of Norway (upper left), Sweden (left), and Finland (center), as well as the Russian Federation (right). A few lakes are still frozen in Russia, and snow remains along the Norwegian coastline, but spring appears to have come to the rest of the region.
