On June 2, 2002, several fires were burning in southeastern Colorado and northern New Mexico. Within days, multiple large wildfires would be raging across Colorado, forcing numerous evacuations and destroying homes. This image was acquired by the Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer.
