The icy Labrador Current may be hugging the coast of Baffin Island, Canada, and choking the western half of the Davis Strait with sea ice and Greenland ice bergs, but the Hudson Strait (bottom left) and Cumberland Sound (right of center) look more like summer. Pockets of bright blue ice are ice that is so thin that the reflection of the water beneath is showing through. These images were acquired by the Moderate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer on June 14 and 16, 2002.
