Amundsen Sea, Antarctica

This true-color image from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite shows a portion of the West Antarctic coastline. Extending seaward from Marie Byrd Land (bottom right), the Getz Ice Shelf stretches out into the Amundsen Sea.
