Ruppert Coast, Hobbs Coast, and Bakutis Coast, Antarctica

<p Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) from the Terra satellite. The ice shelves can be distinguished from the continent proper by their smooth, uniform appearance. This image spans (left to right) Ruppert, Hobbs, and Bakutis Coasts. The ice shelf is called Getz Ice Shelf. The peaks sticking out of the snow-covered interior at lower right are part of the Executive Committee Range Mountains, whose peaks are several thousand meters high.
