Streamers of desert dust blow out over the Arabian Sea from India (right), Pakistan (center), and Iran (left). What is likely a mixture of sediment and marine plant life colors the coastal waters bright, blue-green. The broad, green Indus River Valley contrasts sharply with the pale arid landscape of southern Pakistan. This image was acquired by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Aqua satellite on March 3, 2003.
