Fires and smoke in Mexico and Guatemala

In northern Guatemala (lower right) fires are raging and choking the skies with smoke on the afternoon of March 18, 2003. This true-color Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image was captured by the Aqua satellite and shows fire detections marked with red dots.
