Countries shown are (clockwise from top right) Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Zambia, the tip of Democratic Republic of Congo, and Malawi (top center). Smoke hangs over the southwest corner of the scene, hiding the terrain below. This image was captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Aqua satellite.
