Snow in the Southeast

A strip of snow lines the Mississippi River in this Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image, acquired on December 26, 2004 by NASA’s Terra satellite. The storm dumped heavy snow in a well-defined diagonal swath across the Central United States in the days before Christmas.
