El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve is the largest wildlife reserve in all of Latin America covering 55, 555 square miles. The reserve’s inhabitants include 308 terrestrial and marine vertebrates, 469 flora species, and 39 regionally native floral species. El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve is located in Mexico’s northern California Baja Sur.
In this image bare ground is brown, tan, and pink; vegetation is green; and water is cyan, blue, and black.
This Landsat 5 image was acquired on April 10, 2011. The image was created using TM bands 7, 4 and2. El Vizcaíno Biosphere Reserve falls on WRS-2 Path 37 Row 41.
