As a cold front swept south across the United States in November 2014, it kicked up a dust storm in eastern Colorado. The image was captured by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Aqua satellite on November 10, 2014. A passenger on a commercial airliner passing overhead captured some photographs, which you can see in this tweet from Amanda Hicks and this story from Colorado Public Radio.
