SeaWiFS: Fires in the Southeastern United States

This image taken on May 18, 2001 shows quite a bit of haze east of Florida and more possible smoke plumes along the Georgia coast between Ogeechee and Altamaha river. The brightness of the image to the southwest of forida is most likely due to the specular reflection of sunlight from the ocean's surface.
