Sea Fog in the North Sea

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), aboard NASA’s Aqua satellite, captured these true-color images of widespread, low-level fog hugging the shoreline around Scandinavia on the morning of March 25 and 26, 2003. On the second day, the fog bank appears to be being sheared by the wind and drawn southward. At the top center of the image, clouds can be seen above the fog layer.
