Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge

Acquired May 27, 2005, this true-color image of Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge shows a varied landscape of lake, wetland, and cropland. The waters of the lake appear deep purple-brown, and the reflection of sunlight likely lightens the water’s appearance in the east.
