Northern Italy and the Alps

This is probably about the time of year when the Alps have the least snow cover. Also visible in this SeaWiFS image is the perpetually hazy Po River valley, the Arno river plume, and an interesting semicircular wave pattern centered on the Marches coast. The waves are possibly an atmospheric feature.
