This is a detail image of the sandstorm blowing from northwest Africa. The southern edge of the storm is blasting the Canary Islands off the western coast of Morocco. What is interesting is how low to the ground the storm is, with the islands creating wakes in the storm and the clouds clearly visible high above the sand.
