MODIS First Light Overpass N. America East Coast

MODIS opened its aperture door and began acquiring data over the North American east coast on Feb. 24. This true color scene is more than 2,300 km wide, or more than 1,300 miles, showing clearly features of cloud, snow and ice, vegetated land surface, and the ocean.
