SeaWiFS: Madeira Island Vortex Street

This SeaWiFS image taken on July 18, 2001, again shows the 1800-meter-high Madeira Island serving as the obstruction to the flow of wind that created the beautiful pattern of vortices in the clouds to the southwest of the island.
