Typhoon Yutu (former Tropical Storm 10W) off the south coast of China

Typhoon Yutu seems to span the entire South China Sea from the Philippines (lower right) to Taiwan (upper right) and eastward to the Chinese mainland in this true-color MODIS image from July 24, 2001.
