SeaWiFS: Queensland Fires

This SeaWiFS image captured on August 28, 2001, shows several smoke plumes from fires scattered around Queensland, Australia. The two most prominent of these plumes extend across the Capricorn Channel and the otherwise clear southern portion of the Great Barrier Reef to merge with a band of haze and clouds sitting over the Coral Sea.
