SeaWiFS: Eastern United States

Smoke from fires in eastern Kentucky and West Virginia is still evident in this SeaWiFS image of the eastern United States. Several large smoke plumes are also visible north of Lake Huron in Ontario. The shallow water areas around Cuba and the Bahamas remain turbid two days after Hurricane Michelle passed through.
