This MODIS true-color image of Morocco was acquired March 19, 2002. Also visible is the southern edge of Spain and northwestern Algeria. The thin strip of water joining the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea is the Strait of Gibraltar. About midway along Morocco's coast on the Atlantic Ocean sits the famous city of Casablanca (visible at the higher resolutions).
