Fires in South Africa

On April 22, 2002, the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite captured this image of numerous fires (red dots) burning in eastern South Africa. The small, landlocked country outlined in black is Lesotho.
