Hurricane Isidore over Yucatan Peninsula

On September 23, 2002, Hurricane Isidore was stalled over the Yucatan Peninsula, churning the surf and dumping heavy rains on the region. The eye of the storm is located just over the tip of the Yucatan, roughly in the center of this true-color Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image from the Terra satellite.
