Eruption of Mt. Etna in Sicily

Ash from Sicily’s erupting Mt. Etna volcano continues to be visible in images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Terra satellite. The eruption began on October 27, 2002. This image was acquired on November 7, 2002.
