Snow covers southern Norway in this true-color Terra MODIS image from November 2, 2002. The snow highlights the terrain of Norway, and draws attention to its two main fjords—Sagnefjorden (center) and Hardangerfjorden (center bottom). To the north in the image is the Norwegian Sea, while to the south is the North Sea. The Skagerrak separates Norway from Denmark (bottom center), while Denmark is separated from Sweden by the Kattegat (bottom right).
