Off the northeast coast of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, tropical Cyclone 16s appears to be trying to pull itself together in this series of true-color Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) images from Feb. 2003. On the 9th, the storm seemed more widely scattered, but the center point of the swirling mass of clouds could be seen taking shape. On the 10th, the storm had moved slightly northwestward, and while the eye of the storm seemed less pronounced, the clouds appeared to have solidified.
