Fires in Northern Baja California, Mexico

These images from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensors on the Aqua and Terra satellites shows fires in Baja California in late June and early July 2003. Along the US-Mexico border, a large, grayish patch on the Pacific Coast at the border is San Diego (U.S.) and Tijuana (Mexico). The much larger gray patch farther up the coast is Los Angeles.
