Dust storm off Algeria

Dust sweeps off the Sahara Desert into the Mediterranean Sea in this Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image captured over Algeria by NASA's Aqua satellite on September 5, 2003. The red dot in the image is an active fire detection.
