Northern Canada

Red-golden hues mark the onset of autumn in this Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image of northern Canada. Taken on October 4, 2003, by the Terra satellite, the image shows British Colombia (left), Alberta (center), Saskatchewan (right), and the Northwest Territories (top). The green lake centered above Alberta is Great Slave Lake. On top are Great Bear Lake (left) and Coronation Gulf (right).
