Andaman Islands

The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite captured this image of the Andaman Islands on February 18, 2006. Though the central island appears to be one large island, it is actually three islands called, from top to bottom, North Andaman, Middle Andaman, and South Andaman. The region’s largest city, Port Blair, is in the tan area on the southeast side of South Andaman Island. The Andaman Islands sit immediately south of Myanmar and are administered by India.
