This image of several South American countries, was acquired by the MODIS on board the Aqua satellite on May 17, 2006. The countries shows are, from northwest to southeast are Paraguay, a narrow portion of Argentia, Uraguay, and Brazil. Brazil takes up the majority of the image. One notable thing in this part of the world, is Iguaçu Falls, which is right on the border of Brazil and Argentina, right at the tip of that narrow portion of Argentina and right at the top left center of the image. Iguaçu Falls is in the shape of a horseshoe, and consists of 300 falls - it is as big as three Niagra falls put together!
